About me ... hmm 

Writing about myself is much more difficult for me than capturing the stories of the creatures that appear in my imagination and are waiting to be heard. Before they find their habitat in a story, they live in my head, demanding attention and respect. The more contact I have with other authors, the more ‘normal’ this phenomenon seems to me – yet I am often surprised myself by the directions these characters take.
Nevertheless, I would like to give you a little insight into my very real life: I am a wife and mother of two adult sons and live near Vienna, Austria. Writing is an essential part of my existence, but by no means my only form of creative expression. I see myself as a free, artistically inspired spirit who resists rigid labels and rituals – especially when they exclude or hurt those who think differently.
In all areas of my life, especially as an author and mother, I am passionately committed to inclusion, freedom of expression and the right of every person to choose their relationship freely. Outside of my desk, I often find myself in the midst of creative disorder, which occasionally causes frowns – but for me it is a wonderful source of inspiration. The beauty of this apparent chaos reminds me again and again that life doesn't have to be perfect to be full of wonder. And don't you only see housework when it's not being done?
